Books by Robert Lankamp

Robert Lankamp:

I love language. For a few years in the early part of my life I worried I should give important things priority over language. Being young, I had let myself be convinced that loving language did not get you anywhere. But then, after some false starts, I went into newspaper journalism, in Europe. Soon I was conducting interviews for my paper with people.

At age 32 I went back to school, a university English department. I graduated, got a PhD, and stayed on to teach full-time, mainly creative writing. Some years ago friend who was in publishing asked me why I wasn’t writing a novel. At the time I considered myself a short-story writer, so it took time for the idea to sink in. But then it did. www.robertlankamp.com
